The Story Behind Our Name
For centuries, people believed fate was ever turning, like Fortuna’s great wheel, lifting some to prosperity while casting others into misfortune. Yet rulers sought to influence their place upon it: pharaohs wore golden amulets, Roman emperors honoured Fortuna with treasures, and medieval kings crowned themselves in gold and silver.
